The Height of Love

This is a true story about love, which happened weekend, when most people are concentrating on Anugerah Era.

Nubli is my nephew. My cousin's second eldest son. He is in his twenties now and studying in a college somewhere near Taman Maluri.

Three years ago, they found that Nubli had a kidney failure. Since then, his life has been going through the same routine... going in and out the hospital, in and out dialysis center and eating according to doctor's strict diet.

Until last Saturday, Nubli's life routine would change for the better. He will undergo kidney transplant to replace his failed kidney. Nubli is getting a new kidney for him.

After hours of surgery, Nubli finally got his new kidney. He was taken into ICU for right after the surgery for close monitoring on the post-surgery progress.

The kidney donor is also safe and stable. Although weakened due to the surgery, she was able to talk a few hours after the surgery. All she can think of is if the surgery went well and Nubli is safe. She is no other than Nubli's own mother, who I called Kak Amy.

I am thankful to God that Kak Amy and Nubli are safe and well. Kak Amy is just a housewife, with great talent in crafts and interior decoration. She is the official decorator and creative designer for hantaran of all the cousins wedding. Her husband, Abang Mat, works for the KTM.

A loving family indeed. Kak Amy has shown me the height of a mother's love to her children. For once, she literally put her life on the line in the hope that her son's life would be better.

At the time I wrote this entry, Kak Amy got discharged from the hospital a few hours earlier. Nubli, on the other hand had to live in the hospital for another few weeks until the doctor confirms that the kidney works properly on him.

I pray to Allah for all the blessings He could give to this family. As far as I know, this is the biggest sacrifice a mother, normal mortal mother had done for the sake of their children.

We all have, in one way or another, had an argument with our Mother. Haven't we? I am very sure if there is any of us, who claims he or she had never got into an argument, in any way, is a liar.

So, please.. think about it. No matter how many arguments you got into with your mom.. No matter how intense it could get to debate over certain personal issue with your mom. How her nagging could melt the earwax in your ears.. YOUR MOM LOVES YOU despite of all that.

Always remember that.. (and this is a remonder to me too..)

p.s. think of this, some of us don't even get to do all that or to feel all that.. be thankful that your mom is still alive to share her life with you.

The Magical Moment.

I missed to write about my trip to the Cokelat Concert the other day. The crowd, although not as huge as expected was a great crowd. From the start till the end the band really manage to get the audiece jumping and singing to their song. With song like Karma, Segitiga, Benderaku, Dia... most of the audience could really sing to the tune. It should get more audience than Hoobastank gets last 2 months. UNfortunately.. diorang bukan mat salleh.. or bukan negro. Our city folks couldn't care less... It was at the point where they sing 'Jauh'.. the moment was magical. You could actually feel the magic in the air. Everybody suddenly focussed on the song and sing along to the tune. Mesmerised by the beauty if the melody..

Hari kulalui tanpa hadirmu lagi
Kucoba ingkari sepi ini
Mengapa terjadi, hancur kau akhiri
Satu kata janji tak kembali

S'ribu tanya sesak di dada
Haruskah bimbang meraja
Lelah tepis harapanku
Sendiri mencari bayangmu

Reff :
Selalu kutunggu
Walaupun ku tahu
Kau jauh,ku tahu kau jauh

Biarlah semua seterti apa adanya
Kuterus mencoba,relakannya
Satu yang kuminta,kembalilah padanya
Ku tahu di sana, ada dia...

Kembali ke : Reff

S'ribu tanya sesak di dada
Haruskah bimbang meraja
Lelah tepis harapanku
Sendiri mencari bayangmu

Read and understand the lyrics. You'll might melt your heart out.I know it is touching to me.

It's been a while now..

Yes, I know. It's been quite some time since I last post anything here. Not that I intent to do it on purpose. I just don't know what really happened. Maybe, I just lost my perspectives of the world around this time. For the first time in my life, I have no enthusiasm on anything that I'm working on. I have no oppinion over anything that happens around me. I didn't even have the passion on the things that I do in the music industry. Worst of all.. I don't know what's next.

Maybe, it's normal. Maybe this phase is nothing to everybody. Maybe, I'm just exagerrating things here. But, I don't know. Maybe it's true.. Maybe it's not. AND Maybe, It's just me.

A very close friend just got back for the a short holiday from Jakarta last week. She's a close friend since her study days at Lim Kok WIng. An Indonesian, who borns, educated and brought up in Malaysia. Even the family is still in JB. It's nice to know how good she's doing in Jakarta. To Tessy, if you're reading this, (I know you've been to this blog before).. I'm sorry I didn't manage to spend more time with you, although my free time is 24 hours now. I'm sorry your much awaited trip back here is not an interesting one. I'm sorry that although I promised before that I'll bring you around and meet other old friends and places, I actually didn't do that at all (yeah.. lelaki. kalau dah setan tu setan jugak..).. Hope you have a safe journey back to Jakarta and hope the plan to work on the next year's tour will go as planned.

Other than that, a friend lend some money from me due to family matters, with promise that it will only take him a week to give me back the money. It's already going to the third week and no sign of him. Suddenly, he went missing. So, no exact job, no money to start working on some of the things and no thoughts of my own. Isn't life great. I'm practically a living Zombie. :)

Oh well... just consider this as an update. Not a good one though. You might hate me after reading this.

Bring back a little smile... please..

Here's something for all of you. It has been a hectic emotional period these few weeks for many of us. Especially, when today is 9-11 to remind us of the tragic event in New York. Let's bring back some good smiles for the world.

In the jungle, the mighty jungle,
The lion sleeps tonight.
In the jungle, the quiet jungle,
The lion sleeps tonight..

Have a wonderful week ahead everybody. May God bless us all.

Cyberia Cafe at West End London.

I should have put this entry up long time ago. Wrote sometrhing down, got mental block (like always) and have been a only a draft ver since.

Well, It's not that duplex condo at Cyberjaya. I'm not talking about that at all. (Although, if there's anybody could get me that place at a cheap price.. I'll consider). It's about history.. the first cybercafe (or Internet cafe or CC as you wish to call it) in the world opened at West End London on 31st August 1994, 10 years ago.

Although US claims to be the originator of the Internet and the first cybercafe was founded in UK, the founder of Cyberia Cafe is Eva Pascoe from Poland, a doctorate student stydying in cognitive psychology at Univesity of London. She also played basketball for the Polish national team. A true example of Internet for all, around the world.

To know more about this Cyberia Cafe and the founder. Do read this article by Eric Pfanner from IHT Online

So the next time you celebrate National Day and you feel there's nothing to celebrate about, think about it is also the date when the first Cybercafe in the world started. Maybe that could get you in the mood of celebration.

How's your temper? Is it that bad??

Since we did get into all these Zodiak traits and personality on the previous entry. Let's just go along with it and see what does the zodiak say about your temper.

Nothing seems to ruffle you more than a lack of discipline, disloyalty and decorum. But Arians are also known to go into a rage very easily when challenged. Those of you who have been on the receiving end of the Aries temper know that if not calmed down they can even get violent. But one thing is certain if the opponent remains calm and does not react to their outburst, Arians cool down very fast. They are also the first to apologise, which makes them easier to forgive.

You are generally quiet and have control over your emotions. It is difficult to predict what will upset you, so when you do lose your cool, people don’t know how to react. Your temper is like that of a raging bull, and anyone trying to pacify you will be the first one to get a verbal bashing. You generally get upset when you are concerned or when people accuse you of doing something wrong. You also hate being reminded about mistakes you’ve made in the past. You also have the potential to be terribly vindictive if rubbed the wrong way.

GEMINI MAY 21 – June 29
You are recognised by your cheerful disposition and your jovial nature is easily susceptible to anger. In fact, you are the best person to have around when there is an ugly scene at a party you can bring the warring factions together quite diplomatically. But when you lose cool, you yell and scream and will not listen to reason. You must have the last word in a wordy duel. Your capacity to argue aggressively is matched only by your seductive charm.

Considering how charming, caring and kind you are, you dislike unpleasant scenes, much less creating one yourself. You have great tolerance and rarely get provoked into losing your temper. If someone is unreasonable or trying to create trouble, you are more likely to walk away quietly. But that does not mean you do not have a temper. When angry, in your effort to control your emotions, you tremble, your hands get sweaty and sometimes you fumble for words. Tears roll down your eyes easily and the opponent is touched by your innocence and will seek an apology immediately.

If anyone has total control over their emotions, it is you. But then, you can be described as stiff, cold and uncaring. You are known to lack spontaneity but you really don’t care about opinions. You don’t like to create scenes and will never accept invitations to a party where you suspect the presence of an unruly lot. But your very presence seems challenging to some and they take vicarious pleasure in your disquiet. When angry you can use critical language. A dressingdown can humiliate your opponent, causing a strain between both of you forever.

Most of you are gentle and have full control over your emotions but those of you given to temper tantrums can certainly get violent. When see things with rage, you yell and shout and tend to break things lying close at hand. You can even harm yourself by banging your hands on a glass top table or wall. You should never get into any argument, for you are a sore loser. You feel that others are trying to persecute you and don’t quite respect your opinions. When hurt, you can also hold grudges forever.

Did someone say that you are the charmers of the zodiac? Well, it’s true. Few have ever seen you ruffled or angry. You are very conscious of your image, and you believe that anger distorts your face and personality. You also think you are above things like anger. But wait before you get into self-congratulatory mood. Your family or those very close to you know you better. You have an unmatched temper amongst all the zodiac signs, and what makes it worse is your capacity to justify it.

Of course you don’t lose your cool. But your very demeanour (manner) projects hauhtiness (arrogance, pride), pride and grand disdain (disregard) for lesser mortals (human). Others are often found saying that anger sits on your nose and you are raring to give your piece mind to the first person who try to be funny with you. You are selective in the choice of your friends, and have a low tolerance for the superflous (extra) types. Your tongue-lashing (attack) is generally in a soft hissing tone for when you scream, your voice tends to get shrill and loud and you do hate drawing attention to yourself! When upset, you are angrier with yourself for having shown weakness, for the last thing that Scorpio wants to show is being out of control.

You are insensible and generally have no complete control over your emotions. You do get angry quickly and others marvel at your anger levels even when provoked. Actually, you get tongue-tied when angry and you will remove your anger waiting for the other person to calm down. Then you will reason with your opponent and convince the other person in a very gentle manner that the whole thing was just his mistake. You’re also likely to totally sever ties with someone when you’re upset with them.

Few will believe that a hardcore practical and materialistic person like you is capable of sensitivity and genuine emotions. You project a hard exterior but are actually very sensitive, a trait you successfully hide from others. You can see thing with anger but will not betray your feelings. But then, there are times that even you cannot control your temper. Under such circumstances you can shout and scream, more with frustration at the situation than with anger at any particular person. Your outbursts can shock others and can make them feel guilty too.

You are noble and kind and dislike losing control over yur emotions. It is very rare for you to get angry. You are also the pacifier in situations that involve arguments. It is always your endeavour to be perfect and socially correct in your behaviour and attitude, but if misunderstood and slighted you can give in to an angry outburst. You will shout and scream and then walk out from the scene. You cannot easily forget the situation and will be bitter about it for a long time.

The only thing that can be said about you dreamers is that you appear even more attractive when angry. You are very sensitive to others’ feelings, so you rarely hurt them. But when others tend to hurt you, then things take a nasty turn. You will yell and use harsh words and feel inclined to shake everything and everyone up. Your creative imagination is at its best when angry, and you tend to get pretty dramatic. When upset, you refuse to listen to reason and wish to be left alone. But once you calm down, you repent your tantrums and seek forgiveness. SO nobody can be upset with you for too long.

What do you think? Does it really reflects you?

What does your heart say? Listen..

I came across this article about 'intuition' on one of the blog. I consider it as a beautiful piece of writing. Not due to the linguistic arragement of the piece, but as I read it, I feel like this piece have a heart of it's own.. READ IT... and give a thought..

If Only You'd Listen to Your Own Intuition by Hazel Hassan
Thu Aug 26 2004 12:15 AM

"I KNEW that was going to happen!" How many times have you heard those words come out of your own mouth? Probably plenty, if you're like most people.

We all possess something called "intuition". It's an inner 'knowing' which, when paid attention to, will help us make decisions and even prevent us from making mistakes!

Do you remember when you were in school and you had to take those dreaded multiple choice tests? How many times did you get an answer wrong because you had changed it from your original answer? I'll bet it didn't take long before you figured out you should always go with your FIRST instinct. That's because you really did know the correct answer, and your intuition provided it for you. Then, perhaps you doubted your insight and changed the answer.

Did you know that your brain, like a giant computer, stores all the data that is ever put into it? The problem is that most of us can only RECALL about 10% of that data at any given time. But, on occasion, your intuition kicks in and digs deep into the file cabinet of your mind to pull out a stored-away answer.

I'm sure you've experienced having a piece of information "right on the tip of your tongue". The data is in your head somewhere but you can't quite get it out. Sometimes it just takes a while and the answer will come to you a few hours later. It just sort of "pops in" when you're not even trying to remember it anymore.

Well, sometimes information will "pop in" as a warning or in answer to an unasked question. You get a "feeling" about something. Maybe it's just a "gut feeling" or maybe it's more like a premonition. Do you listen to it or ignore it?

It's very easy, in hindsight, to see where you could have prevented a problem or mistake by listening to your hunches. But how can you learn to use your intuition to give you answers or even evoke warnings BEFORE it's too late to do something about them?

1. Learn to listen to your own intuition. The voice within you speaks to you constantly, and you are usually just too busy to listen to it. When making major decisions, make a conscious effort to take some quiet time alone to hear what your inner voice is saying.

2. Never doubt your own intelligence and common sense. When your inner voice says, "watch out", learn to take heed.

3. Never feel, because you don't have a PhD or other fancy degree, that you are less capable than the next guy. The so-called gurus and experts don't have all the answers and don't always know what they're talking about. Just remember how many stock EXPERTS told people to buy Yahoo at $150 a share.

4. Remember that nobody knows you like YOU do. Your intuition is YOU talking to you.

5. Keep your own counsel. There's a reason your intuition gives you advice. Don't ignore it. You are your own best advisor.

Some people intentionally ignore their intuition. They doubt their own inner wisdom. They do things even though their intuition tells them otherwise. They make the same mistakes over and over again. Then they find themselves always saying, "I KNEW that was going to happen!"

So what do you think people? Any thoughts? and to Mommy Hazel.. wonderful thoughts like this will go a long way. My regards to you, your hubby and your 2 cute kids.
