As this moment, many of us are already back at their hometown, taking leave on Monday so that they can spend more time celebrating Aidiladha with their loved ones.
I'm sure we all already know the story behind Aidiladha. The yearly Muslim convention of Haj and the reason behind every action needed to perform Haj. I'm sure we all heard the story about Prophet Ibrahim and his family.
Usually, on Aidiladha, when we are reminded about this story, we're also reminded on the his willingness to sacrifice anything and everything for Allah. We're also being told about how Siti Hajar's determination to search for food by running back and forth between the hills of Safa and Marwa.
After listening to the stories over and over, is it really 'Sacrifice' is the only theme for Aidiladha. True, it took lots of sacrifice to be able to do all that has been done, but I'm sure there's more than just 'Sacrifice' that we could learn from the story..
To me, this is the ultimate love story. The love of God, the love of the family, the love of believing in love itself.
So please, celebrate the love on Aidiladha. Just like it's been written on M Nasir's song..
