Take a good cover..

I'm sure you kids, the so-called 'RnB' or 'Urban' (I still don't understand why would they call it 'urban'... it's not a genre) fans would know the song 'Bringin On A Heartbreak' by Mariah Carey. I'm sure you've seen the video as well, which features Dave Navarro in it.

Navarro in RnB video?

Why not? This is once a rock song anyway. For those who never heard of the song before Mariah Carey, this is a song made popular by the Sheffield band, Def Leppard. This is one of their early hit song, which if you watch the video, you can see the drummer still have both arms.

My opinion, a good cover song should always sounds better and fresher than the original version and the version by Mariah Carey is one good example.

At least now we have a song that both RnB and Rock fans can appreciate together..

For me, other great versions of cover songs would include David Bowie's 'Man Who Sold The World' by Nirvana, The Police's 'King of Pain' by Alanis Morissette, Paul McCartney's 'Live and Let Die' by Guns N Roses..

And to those who plan to have a cover song as their hit single, if you can't produce a much better version than the original, JUST FORGET IT.

Just try and say to you
Youre bringin' on the heartbreak
Taking all the best of me
Oh cant you see?

What's your favourite cover song?

END
p.s why would anybody do a cover version as their first single nowadays? trying to cheat their way to popularity? Hehehe..
