A month full of stars..

This is definitely the last entry before I head south for a week break. Well, it's not really a break when my youngest brother is getting engaged to the love of his life end of this month. Still, as long as it is not work related, let's just establish the situation as 'taking a break'.

Speaking of 'taking a break', and you hate to take it with only Kit Kat bars, how about taking a short moment of your time, close your eyes, take a deep breath and visualise yourself as 'orang melayu'...Done? Good..

Once you did that (and hey, what do you know, some of you are Malay after all..just kidding..) Look at the 2 posters below and imagine yourself experiencing the moments in one of the shows. (If not both..)

Done? OK. GOOD!!

NOW WHY DON'T YOU STOP IMAGINING ALL THAT.. Do yourself a favor and just go to any of those shows in February.

You can either go to Search's Concert on the 4th..

Or you can go to M Nasir's Sunday Nite Live on either the 12th or the 19th (or both..)

So?? What will it be?

Come on.. Just give yourself a'BREAK' will you?

GO AND HAVE FUN..

See you there..

GONG XI FA CAI Everybody..

END
p.s Shows at Planet Hollywood are strictly for age 18 years and above. Those age 17 and below (like me..) can just sit outside. hahahahaha..

Gonna Try Anything To JUST FEEL BETTER..

As mentioned earlier, this is the song that hooked me and eventually stick in my head till now. It's now on it's 4th day and I don't think I see any chances that this song will fade away from me any time soon.

You see, a great song is not about what's the hardest chord you play in it. It's not about how complicated the arrangement of the songs or how great are the progression of the music in theory. Every great song will always have a wonnderful melody, the right amount of arrangement and a superbly written lyrics that somehow clicks well with the melody..

And this song, in one way or another, fit those criterias..

Enjoy the video!!

JUST FEEL BETTER
(Santana feat. Steven Tyler)

She said I feel stranded
And I can't tell anymore
If we coming or I'm going
It's not how I planned it
I've got the key to the door
But it just won't open

And I know, I know, I know
Part of me says let it go
That life happens for a reason
I don't, I don't, I don't
It goes I never went before
But this time, this time
I'm gonna try anything that just feel better

Tell me what to do
You know I can't see through the haze around me
And I do anything that just feel better

And I can't find my way
Girl I need a change
And I do anything that just feel better
Any little thing that just feel better

She said I need you to hold me
I'm a little far from the shore
And I'm afraid of sinking
You're the only one knows me
And who doesn't ignore
That my soul is weeping

I know, I know, I know
Part of me says let it go
Everything must have it seasons
Round and round it goes
And every day's a one before
But this time, this time
I'm gonna try anything that just feels better

Tell me what to do
You know I can't see through the haze around me
And I do anything that just feel better

And I can't find my way
God I need a change
And I do anything that just feel better
Any little thing that just feel better

Long to hold you in my arms
To all things I ought to leave behind, yeah
It's really getting nowhere
I think I need a little help this time!

Yeah

I'm gonna try anything that just feel better
Tell me what to do
You know I can't see through the haze around me
And I do anything that just feel better

And I can't find my way
Girl I need a change
And I do anything that just feel better
Any little thing that just feel better

So I wonder...

I'm taking off the Guns and Roses video to make way for this cute video footage... hehe..

So I wonder, what is it about kids that give you that soothing feeling? When you're stressed out or tense, when you're facing the hardest times of your life, when you feel down and think that life is almost meaningless.. suddenly these kids comes in front of your face and everything seems solved and your spirit lifeted up for no perticular reason.

That.. my friend, is simply magical..

Isn't it?

Go on.. enjoy this video. It cheer me up. I'm sure it will do the same to you.

Take your time coz the light is shining bright..

Here's an advise: If you work for other people..(especially those big corporation who makes decision and judge everything by sales and profit figures).. which from time to time 'motivates' you to give 110% (or more) of your time and energy to the company as a sign of commitment to your work.. PLEASE : for once show the middle finger to them. (excuse me..) . You're there to make a living and that should be defined more towards developing your life more than maintaining their personal way of life..

Nah, I'm not referring this to where I work now. Not in any way.. Just pity those who're constantly 'motivated' or 'threatened' by those capitalists, hoping that you'll give your soul to them.. Heard too many of such thing the past few days and it is really disturbing.. A situation which I always defined as 'Post-Modern Slavery'.

OK, enough of that.

Everybody have dreams and ambitions. Just wondering.. If you're actually on your way towards achieving all that you've been dreaming for and the progress seems reasonably well at the moment..Suddenly when you take a moment to stop and review back, all that you've done and all that you're working on.. You end up wondering.. "what am I doing here?" and "what's all these efforts for?"..

In this case..I'm actually experiencing that at the moment. Untll I found the answers to all that, for now, I'll jus consider myself as overworked and a victim of mental urned out. I'm taking it slow on all my work at the moment. Make more time for recreation and enjoying what's available outside.

Which also means.. JOM LAA.. JOM TENGOK WAYANG KE..JALAN-JALAN KE.. ENJOYING A GOOD MEAL KE.. OR JUST DO SOMETHING STUPID AND HAVE FUN.. Any takers? JOM JOM JOM..

In the meantime.. Enjoy this old video by Guns and Roses - Patience..

Prove your love!!

As this moment, many of us are already back at their hometown, taking leave on Monday so that they can spend more time celebrating Aidiladha with their loved ones.

I'm sure we all already know the story behind Aidiladha. The yearly Muslim convention of Haj and the reason behind every action needed to perform Haj. I'm sure we all heard the story about Prophet Ibrahim and his family.

Usually, on Aidiladha, when we are reminded about this story, we're also reminded on the his willingness to sacrifice anything and everything for Allah. We're also being told about how Siti Hajar's determination to search for food by running back and forth between the hills of Safa and Marwa.

After listening to the stories over and over, is it really 'Sacrifice' is the only theme for Aidiladha. True, it took lots of sacrifice to be able to do all that has been done, but I'm sure there's more than just 'Sacrifice' that we could learn from the story..

To me, this is the ultimate love story. The love of God, the love of the family, the love of believing in love itself.

So please, celebrate the love on Aidiladha. Just like it's been written on M Nasir's song..

'RAIKAN CINTA'

Berapa dalam harus kugali tanah ini harus kugali
Untuk bertemu permata nilai sejati nilai sejati
Baru kupulang ke kampung sentosaku
Baru tercapai segala maksudku

Perahuku menghala ke hulu kuala jua kusua, jua kusua...
Kau lihat aku, aku pula lihat dia samakah kita ?

Ke sana ke sini lari-lari kecil
Bagai Siti Hajar mencari air
Terpancur sinar di kering pasir
Bekas hentakan kudus kaki Ismail

Mari mawarku raikan cinta
Tanpa cintaNya kita tiada
Mawar cinta mawarku abadi
Cinta pemilik segala Jadi

Mari mawarku raikan cinta
Kerana cinta kita abadi
Mawar cinta mawarku sejati
Cinta pemilik segala Jadi

SALAM AIDILADHA EVERYBODY..

The Opening Act : Two Zero Zero Six

Happy New Year to all of you (Just in case you didn't read my previous entry)..

The last weekend was great. (.. I think it was..) I did one thing that I've not been doing for such a long time.. BEING A TOTAL COUCH POTATO.

Well, except on Saturday, where I was in Shah Alam attending my cousin's engagement (CONGRATS MIMI & .. *alamak lupa nama*), as well as the ceremony of Aqiqah and 'Potong Jambul' for the baby twins, Adam and Farah.. the rest of the weekend was spent on the couch, channel surfing over Astro (yes, I haven't got my FREE MiTV yet..hehe) and eat as much of anything as I can. What a life isn't it?

So, what's the point of me putting all that crap of my 'activities' in the entry? My answer would be simple.. I found many programmes that I liked..

1. Who's Line Is It Anyway? - Drew Carey and the gang never failed to tickle me. Damn, how did they get so talented and so aware of the surroundings in a funny way?

2. VH1 weekends (on MTV Asia) - 40 bad no.1 singles of all time. Then late come up with another show called '50 most fabulous of 2006'.. and the list goes on and on.. (Luckily, I'm getting my MiTV end of this month.. VH1 all the way for me..woohoo)

3. Reality Bites - Ethan Hawke's and Winona Ryder's debut to the silver screen. No wonder Ethan Hawke's did 'After Sunrise' and 'Before Sunset' after that. He's used to Indie Movies..

4. Countdown shows - (wait.. I actually did not watch any of this.) I was too 'busy' watching something else and forgot all about countdown.. hehehe..

Anyway, I would like to say thank you to those who SMS their New Year Wish, sorry.. I didn't reply to any of it coz somehow, all my reply could not get thru taht night..

WELCOME TO 2006
. Things will be better this year. Things will not be the same as the previous year.. EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED IN A POSITIVE AND WONDERFUL WAY!!

END
p.s My wishlist for now would be to have a JVC Everio Hard disk Camcoder (Can anybody buy it for me? hahahahaha)
