Yakin kamu menanti diriku yang sering keliru..

This is definitely a short entry. If you're longing for a good song and a good video by a Malaysian band..

OR if you have always believe that our local bands is never as good as just about anybody outside Malaysia..

OR You are actually a fan and a music appreciator.

Then, watch this video 'Cinta' by Nitrus. It's the new single from their current album.

If a band have the passion to keep doing better, they'll shine.. NITRUS is a fine example of that.

Yakin aku hampiri dirimu yang semakin jauh
Yakin kamu menanti diriku yang sering keliru
Kan ku tuju, kan ku tuju, dan di situ
Halalkanlah aku

Resah yang makin hilang
Ditinggalkan jejak ku
Aku pasti mahumu begitu

Plain and Simple..

When you need to look for information, you Google it. When you need to learn more about anything online, you Podcast.

BUT, that would not happen until you know what a podcast is. Maybe you're an Accountant, a Lawyer, a teacher or worst still.. a Politician where your field of work does not catch up with the ever growing WEB 2.0 technology for the masses. What would you do to catch up with the rest and understand each one of them without insulting your own intelligence.

Not to worry. There's always something to offer in YouTube. I found this interesting introduction video made to explain all the online services in Plain English. By watching it, it seems that even a kindergarten kid in a place where English is not the main language can understand.

So I salute for a job well done.

Of course, there's not much option left for anybody who's still confuse with the explanation after watching the video done by these guys. You either need a translation version of the video (failing to understand after that would officially put you on 'Very Low IQ Support Group') or maybe they have to do it in sign-language.

Go ahead, watch the video. You'll understand better.

p.s Salam Aidiladha.. Eid Al-Mubarak

A night with no broadband connection

Last week, the broadband connection was down on the eve of my wedding anniversary. As I browse through the photos that I got on this notebook. I realised that it has been quite some time since I last play around with photoshop.

Here's my creativity. (Or what's left of it..)

So, are you a loser with a big L on your forehead?

Throughout life, you'll find many quitters. We're thought to be quitters. The idea of living happily ever after is actually living a life with no risk, not trying anything new and if there's anybody else whose life otherwise and being considered successful.. just tell yourself "he is just lucky".

OK, I've been telling people otherwise but yet they use my life instead as a benchmark.

Here's a video about an Australian name Nick Vujicic. Watch the video. He'll tell you that your life is not that bad. After you watch this video. If you don't agree that your life is not that bad, leave me a message.

Come on.. Obama did say "Yes, we can".. which is almost a copycat to Malaysian's mantra "Malaysia Boleh"...

Watch it will you..?

p.s Deniya... this is more for you.

Maybe he's trying to qualify for Raja Lawak season 3

Usually I do not want to comment on issues wrote by another blogger. Nor would I make any remarks on petty issues made out of tabloid-like reporting.

Unfortunately, I have to rule this one out.

Patrick Teoh do have a point here.

Here's his view on the issue of Norman Hakim's 'unfortunate' event.

Norman Hakim, you get the award for originality in bulls**t.

There might be something lost in translation in this story from The Star which was reporting on a report in Utusan Malaysia so you will have to make your own concessions as you read the story. I want you to read it and form your own conclusions if this isn't the funniest thing you've read in a long time. Here it is...

ACTOR Norman Hakim is willing to take starlet Memey Suhaiza as his second wife if that’s God’s will, Utusan Malaysia reported.

Norman, 32, however, did not confirm whether he was in a serious relationship with the 20-year-old actress.

“My love for my wife (Abby Abadi) is still very strong. Every day, I pray to Allah that only death will separate us. I do not want to split up with her through a divorce,” said the Gerak Khas TV series star.

However, Norman said he could not rule out the possibility that he and Memey may be fated to be together in future.

This is the first time in my memory where a man has actually blamed God for his adulterous affair with a woman while at the same time swearing in God's name that his love for his wife is very strong! I know polygamy is allowed in Islam but I am also very sure that Islam does not condone adultery. This man obviously wants to prove me wrong.

Funny? No?

Now, before any of you rush off to accuse me of insulting Islam and/or commenting on something that I am not qualified to comment etc. please know that I mean no disrespect to Islam or Muslims. I just find one man's attempts at defending his selfish actions quite hilarious.

What do I say? Patrick, I agree with you. Maybe he's qualifying for Raja Lawak Season 3.

Celebration of Love

What's your life purpose? There's a reason to everything. Everything happens for a reason. But, do you ever thought about (I do mean really give it a thought..)the reasons behind all the things that you've done, your daily activities and whatever things that you may do in the future?

Think about it. If every single life have it's purpose. What would yours be?

If there's a reason to all the doings that we do. Shouldn't all of us be conscious and fully aware of our daily activities and how it would either contribute to whatever the reason we're doing it OR it would float us away from our main purpose?

Too hard to comprehend? (OK. I am aware that being fluent in language does not mean having higher IQ..)

Let's make it simpler..

1. Why do you go to work? (only parrot can answer that in a cliche answer in less than 3 seconds.. just 'to make a living' does not count.)

2. Why do you work in whatever job that you are doing now? Do you really want to do that in life?

3. Do you (at least) have more satisfaction than having frustration in whatever you do now? Are you happy with your life now? (NOTE: 'I'm glad', 'boleh laa..' or 'it's OK' DOES NOT fall under HAPPY. Do not try to cheat your own life.)

4. If you're having difficulties answering the three question above. Would you want to think about it more seriously NOW?

You don't need to answer those questions to me. In fact, there's no right or wrong answer for it. (although our life have always drill us to give answer that satisfies the one asking..)

But please, do give it a thought. Answer it SINCERELY. See where you are in fulfilling your life purpose and how's your progress on that matter.

Be sincere about it. You're answering for yourself. At the very least, show respect to your own self by not cheating in answering the question. Your own self obviously knows that you cheat by giving safe and lame answers to those questions.

While living in denial and avoiding such issues can be very addictive to almost all of us, why don't we try to be really sober in life for once and take a good look at what we're doing and what we need to do.

How about self-honesty for once. Shall we?

Have a great Aidilfitri everybody. Be safe.
p.s If you still don't understand anything that I mention just now. (Tak, bukan bengap.. kurang mahir English je walaupun fasih..) Just click the video and maybe that would give you some idea.

Accept certain inalienable truths.. (that you must)

Here's a song that need to be aired to public every few years as reminder. I first heard this song somewhere in 1998-1999. Now, after almost 10 years, the advise still fresh..

In fact, it seems more relevant now.

SUNCREEN (everybody's free)

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Wear sunscreen

If I could offer you only one tip for the future, sunscreen would be It. The long term benefits of sunscreen have been proved by Scientists whereas the rest of my advice has no basis more reliable Than my own meandering
Experience…I will dispense this advice now.

Enjoy the power and beauty of your youth; oh nevermind; you will not understand the power and beauty of your youth until they have faded. But trust me, in 20 years you'll look back at photos of yourself and Recall in a way you can't grasp now how much possibility lay before You and how fabulous you really looked….You're not as fat as you Imagine.

Don't worry about the future; or worry, but know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing Bubblegum. The real troubles in your life are apt to be things that never crossed your worried mind; the kind that blindside you at 4pm on some idle Tuesday.

Do one thing everyday that scares you

Don't be reckless with other people's hearts, don't put up with people who are reckless with yours.

Don't waste your time on jealousy; sometimes you're ahead, sometimes you're behind…the race is long, and in the end, it's only with yourself.

Remember the compliments you receive, forget the insults; if you succeed in doing this, tell me how.

Keep your old love letters, throw away your old bank statements.

Don't feel guilty if you don't know what you want to do with your life…the most interesting people I know didn't know at 22 what they wanted to do with their lives, some of the most interesting 40 year olds I know still don't.

Get plenty of calcium.

Be kind to your knees, you'll miss them when they're gone.

Maybe you'll marry, maybe you won't, maybe you'll have children, maybe you won't, maybe you'll divorce at 40, maybe you'll dance the funky chicken on your 75th wedding anniversary…what ever you do, don't congratulate yourself too much or berate yourself either – your choices are half chance, so are everybody else's. Enjoy your body, use it every way you can…don't be afraid of it, or what other people
Think of it, it's the greatest instrument you'll ever own...

Dance…even if you have nowhere to do it but in your own living room.

Read the directions, even if you don't follow them.

Do NOT read beauty magazines, they will only make you feel ugly.

Get to know your parents, you never know when they'll be gone for

Be nice to your siblings; they are the best link to your past and the people most likely to stick with you in the future.

Understand that friends come and go, but for the precious few you should hold on. Work hard to bridge the gaps in geography and lifestyle because the older you get, the more you need the people you knew when you were young.

Live in New York City once, but leave before it makes you hard; live in Northern California once, but leave before it makes you soft.

Accept certain inalienable truths, prices will rise, politicians will philander, you too will get old, and when you do you'll fantasize that you were young prices were reasonable, politicians were noble and children respected their elders.

Respect your elders.

Don't expect anyone else to support you. Maybe you have a trust fund, maybe you have a wealthy spouse; but you never know when either one might run out.

Don't mess too much with your hair, or by the time you're 40, it will look 85.

Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who supply it. Advice is a form of nostalgia, dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than
It's worth.

But trust me on the sunscreen…

You're more than who you think you are

Here's a cliche' statement .. "Each one of us are special in our own way". Yes, some of you already vomit on your own computer by the time you finish reading the last word of the sentence. (I'm sorry.. you are that bad huh??)

Anyway, as cliche' as the statement is, there are some truth in it. Here's why..

1. If we believe that every Gods' creation have it's purpose, then we too have a purpose to fulfil. (Unless, you believe that God is nonsense and useless..)

2. No matter how small your contribution (or lack of it) in this world, you are affecting your surrounding in one way or another. (e.g If you love to complain about your life too much and very vain about it.. You'll eventually push all your loved ones away..)

So, if you believe there's something more to life for you than whatever it is now, I would suggest that you stop thinking that anything or everything is useless, start thinking what you really want to have in life and TAKE ACTION on it.

You are special. (even if you're lazy and intelligently dumb, you're a 'very special dumb bum')

Whatever it is, in the end.. YOU ARE WHAT YOU THINK YOU ARE. And that makes it VERY SPECIAL.

p.s The day is definitely INDEPENDENT. My only question to you would be.. 'ARE YOU?'

With courage, you can set things right ..

The Jakarta trip was awesome. It was fun. It was crazy..(Only crazy people makes crazy money)

Above all, the most valuable lesson being reminded around us that week... The possibilities we could have by staying together as ONE.

Even the Olympics are conveying the same message. "One World, One Dream". (yes, of course that would worry some power hungry fools into thinking maybe there's only One President of the World too..)

Forget it. It's not about positions and status quo. It's not about politics (Yes, even as divided as the politics can be, it's a surprise the theme was about 'being together as One')

Oh well, If you still do not understand a thing what I'm rambling here. OR if you are a great supporter to the idea of 'Anarchy to maintain order'.

Maybe you should click and watch the video. Try give that soggy brain a spin once a while. See if it makes sense to you.

The power of one
Begins with believing
It starts in the heart
Then flows through the soul
And changes the world
Imagine how life will be
When we stand in unity
Each of us holds the key
To the power of one

It will only begin if you believe...

Tunggu Aku di Jakarta..

OK, I admit. I've been neglecting my blog for too long now. Yes, I do. There's nothing I can do to make it up for those past. I do however, live to look into the future.

Anyway, I will be in Jakarta from 15th - 19th August 2008. If you have the time to actually click on the video, you will know my reasons for being there around those dates.

To those of you who will be in Jakarta during those dates, I would love to meet you. I will be somewhere around Mangga Dua, in a hotel that sounds more French than Indonesian or Dutch in any way..

So please, let me know if you're in Jakarta. Let's meet. I do not intend to sleep much during my 5 days there.

Let's have FUN!!

Between who you are and who you could be..

So we're having a petrol price hike. That's not news since we do aware that it will happen sooner or later since a year ago.

Yes, it does come to a surprising 41% increase but still, this should not be something we face unprepared at all.

While this is happening now and most of us are caught with major financial difficulties to barely living from the surviving mode that we used to live before, it is now the time to make an assesment on our own life before we move on to the next stage.

OK, some of you may have done your own reality check on your situation. But before your conclude to anything, have you check on the reality of the actions that you should take to move on?

What are your option towards a move meaningful life in the future? There must be some solutions to make it through and in every solutions there is hope. (That is if you do not consider yourself a living corpse who is not worth living anyway..)

If you have a few option. What would your move be?

Better still.. do you dare to move?...

Maybe redemption has stories to tell
Maybe forgiveness is right where you fell
Where can you run to escape from yourself?
Where you gonna go?
Where you gonna go?
Salvation is here

A tribute, an advise and a promise..

Earlier this year, the country was shocked by the demised of a multi-talented personality known to many as Loloq.

Those who knows me would also know how close I am to him and his family. A few even wonder as of why I did not write anything about him as my own tribute.

The truth is, it is never easy to talk about someone so close to you when they passed away. You just don't know where to start. Even if you do know what to say about him, it would not be easy to hold your composure to just sit in front of the PC and put up an entry to pay respect to this great man.

Until now, there are no words to describe him well.

All I can say, the experiences, guides, challenges and advises given by him will be cherished and remembered. I am what I am today because of this man who have been close to my life for the past 8 years.

And I will keep all my promise to him.

This will start by never giving up hope to be better each day. Do not abandon any dreams that's worth dying for.

I hope you do the same too.

Here's a song with one of his lyrics. I think it is appropriate that I share this song with everybody at this time of difficulty faced by many of us

Sebelum gugur tercalar jiwa parah
Jangan kau gugurkan airmata
Sebelum putus tali Tuhan Yang Esa
Jangan kau berputus asa

p.s To every difficulties there are solutions. Nobody can solve your problems until you start to solve it on your own. The thing is, do you have the guts to solve it?

This could save your souls..

Last year, I was introduced to this movie & book about 'The Secret'. It is a very moving topic for everybody that I recommend those who believe they are not living in denial from their own life to watch this movie a few times.

This semi-documentary movie talk about the Law of Attractions. An old yet powerful concept of living your life.

You will attract all the things that you focus on. Even when you say that you do not want certain things, or hoping that you would not get anything that is not on your favor, it would still come to you even more simply because you put your energy and focus towards that direction.

As a Muslim, I know such Law does exists. Only that it is called differently. I remember back in school days, we used to have 4 words posted in front of our class which reflected the Law of Attraction.

The words are USAHA (effort), IMAN (have faith), TAWAKKAL (Leave it be) and ISTIQAMAH (persistence).

These 4 words accumulates what the Law of Attraction really is.

In the movie, they mention that your present state is NOT what you are now. It is the result of what your life are and what you did in the past. What you are in the future depends on what you are and doing now.

As most of us agree on this statement. Let's try to apply this to our situations at present.

1. What we are doing now and how our current life is doing are the results from our actions that we made and focus on in the past. (so, do not blame your current boss, friends or next door neighbor for what you are and how your life could be misreable at this moment)

2. How our country is doing at present. Whether the situation is good, bad or confusingly annoying.. It is the result of what have been done and governed in the past. (so, I strongly believe that it is not justified to blame the current administrators for any bad things the we now since it is a result from all actions in the past)

In short, what we think, believe and do today will be the result for the future to come. As a 'father to be', I am worried. Whatever negative feelings, thoughts and action (or non-action) that I choose take today will definitely give a result that affect their future.

If I'm in denial, their future will be denied. If I'm ignorant, they may not have common sense. If I'm self-centered, they might end up being vain.

So I would choose to take charge of my life. Live it according to what I want it to be and take action (even it shake my out of comfort) necessary to live a great life as soon as possible. I want them to be happy, intelligent, safe and most importantly live a very positive life surrounded by positive people.

I know what I want and it should be take into action NOW. I suggest you should do the same too.

p.s It's time to read less frontpage news, to focus less any politicians and focus more on your own dreams and goals. For now at least..

You live for the fight when its all that you've got

Ever wonder why most of us seems do not progress in life after years went by? The body has taken it's evolution process (some just let gravity took the best of them..) The age has added up the numbers yet still, the life does not show any sign of improvements.

These are not the people who do not have dreams or goals. They do. They are not the type of people who never imagine themselves living a much better life. They do. They are also the same people who take all necessary steps to figure out of ways to achieve it. They do all that.

No, they are not negative about life. They do believe that everybody have the chance to live a great life.

Unfortunately, while these people have all that in mind. Taking all steps necessary to go for it, they are still stuck at where they are. Worst, some even go backwards instead of moving ahead.

So what's wrong with these people?

I might not know much about all these people. I may not have the perfect answer for their situation. One thing I do know is, despite of all their knowledge, beliefs and preparation to change their life to the better, they just don't have the guts to take the action and move on towards that direction. Just like having the driving license and bought a BMW only to park it at the front porch, facing the road and hoping that this great car will drive you to where you want to go.

It's already bad to see how many people do not have the opportunity to make a better life. It's even worse to see those who have the opportunity in hand but did not take action to seize it.

My suggestion, if these people did not wake up and start taking action, let's just round them up in a stadium, lock all gates and shoot all of them to death. At least, we can make way for those who are really serious in taking charge of their own life.

As for those who have taken the big leap of faith to make their life better without hoping badly for any free rides, DO NOT GIVE UP HOPE.

This is the song for you. The true heroes among us.

We've got to hold on to what weve got
It doesn't make a difference
If we make it or not
We got each other and thats a lot
For love - we'll give it a shot

p.s The world do not accept cowards who dare not life their desired life. No matter what their excuses are.. even the 'intelligent' ones.

Do it with a heart wide open

I'm still struggling to get myself actively post my opinions and thoughts like I used to before.

You can call it writer's block if you want to. I would just declare it as suffering a 'chronic-asylum-of-expressing-thoughts'. Maybe a leukemia of minds.. or something like that.

Anyway, in the attempt of making a breakthrough to this matter, I would take this opportunity to wish HAPPY (err.. it's appropriate word right?) VOTING!! to all fellow Malaysians who is mature enough and registered to vote.

May you will have fun voting and hope you will laugh your heads out when you're done.

To all candidates, GOOD LUCK!! and play nice with each other. Please behave as what your mama told you before and do not bully other kids.

After all that, I hope during the 13-day campaign period you manage to say what you need to say. The whole truth and nothing but the truth. (yes, it's meant for ALL of you.. whichever side you are..)

Oh well, nobody can tell who is really telling the truth. Almost everybody knows how to do 'cosmetic journalism' nowadays.

Here's to the better life we seek to have in the future. Here's to a future that we will not regret for not trying to have at the least. Here's to all things we've done and we will do to have a life worth living.

Without all that.. we are better of dead than alive.

Have no fear for giving in
Have no fear for giving over
You better know that in the end
It’s better to say too much
Than never to say what you need to say again

p.s I hope you did nothing that would make you think back in fear before you die..

Somewhere we will meet..

Welcome back to the world!! (This is actually for me..) Being absent from the ability of updating the blog is somewhat similar to being absent from continous mental fitness program.

Seriously, taking a long break from thinking critically, analytically and creatively can do great harm to your life and you'll die slowly in full numbness of the body, mind and soul.

OK, that's not a great intro. (hey, it's been a while..)

So we just entered a new year on the chinese calendar. This year would be the year of the Rat. It is a year of which they predicted to be much calmer, on the surface but more activities like strategies, plans and other activities involving mental intelligence are done behind closed doors.

As mentioned in the Chinese Astrology portal, the character of the Rat is quoted as

"Clever and quick-witted, the Rat of the Chinese Zodiac is utterly disarming to boot. Possessed of excellent taste, this Sign flaunts its style at every turn. Its natural charm and sharp, funny demeanor make it an appealing friend for almost anyone. The Rat likes to know who is on its side and will treat its most loyal friends with an extra measure of protection and generosity. "

It's amazing to read the description given. How on earth did they manage to come to such detail?

Kind to think of it.. no wonder there are many general election to be held around the world this year.

Maybe it's in a way like the world fiesta for the year of the rat. Isn't it?

Oh well, that's just a thought. And while we're on this spirit of winning the popularity contest... Here's a song by Radiohead. I think it's appropiate for such event.

I will stop
I will stop at nothing
Say the right things
When electioneering
I trust I can rely on your vote

p.s Hey, that does not mean you should not exercise your right to choose. So choose what's best for you. Really, the best for you.

Before our third New Year Celebration in 2 months

Wow, I really neglect my blog the past few months. Not that I don't have anything to write on, I do. Maybe when you have too many things to talk about, you end up not to talk about it out loud at all..

Anyway, it's almost the third New Year Celebration we're celebrating in less than 2 months. I like to start this years entry with something encouraging, inspiring and positive reflection to each and every one of us.

This is an entry I read on Multiply. I'm assuming it's an original entry by the writer. And I like the article.

I hope you it make sense to you as it is to me.

Listen to your critics and learn what you can from them. But don't let them dissuade you from what you know is best.

A bright and shining vision has value only when you have the courage to follow it. When you know that it is the thing to do, then step up and do it.

Pay attention to what others have to say, without becoming a slave to their opinions of you. Consider differing and diverse perspectives, while keeping the substance of your most deeply held values intact.

Much of the effort of achievement is in keeping yourself focused. Choose to intentionally make that effort, to maintain that focus, and all the rest will more readily fall into place.

Though the world may seem to be against you at times, keep in mind that you are working to make that world a better place. Start to show some progress, and others will soon be buying into your vision.

Remember who you are, where you've come from, and the real value of what you have to offer. Then step forward, with renewed courage and commitment, and make it real.

How about we take on the year with more exciting and inspiring vibes among us, shall we? Show some enthusiasm and high spirit as much as possible.
