Oh man, the past couple of weeks has been a back to back released of many Hollywood movies. From Spiderman (check the spelling, it's SPIDER..) to Pirates of the Caribbean to Shrek 3, to Ocean Thirteen and to Fantastic 4. All with huge followings.
One similarities between all movies are the fight between good and evil and the idea of a true hero. I guess deep in everybody's heart, we all hope for a hero that could save us during our weakest hour, as much as we all want to be a hero within the people who we really care.
While everybody in a way have their own opinion on what constitutes a hero, one person who badly need a hero at her moment of crisis, did not get one.
While every Malaysian cheering for the heroes they watched on the silver screen, this lady was murdered by road bullies with no local heroes around to save her.
I guess to have our own hero, (again, cicak is no hero..) would be almost impossible.. not UNLESS, we all united and seek for the road bullies who murdered this lady.
To the family, I'm very sorry for your tragic lost.
Maybe Malaysians should learn to be hero in our own terms. At least for one day.
