Celebrate the love for greater dreams..

This weekend brings us to 2 celebration, the new year 2007 and Aidiladha.

Normally, the New Year celebration brings us to one thing..New Hope. As we glance what we had done in the past year, we set up new resolution, new goals, refreshing our spirit and self-esteem by giving ourself some kind of hope for something much better than what we already are.

Or maybe we already have all those that we dream of..just to make sure we won't lose it in the years to come.

Aidiladha on the other hand, is a celebration of love and sacrifice. The distance we would go and sacrifice for those who we love the most. Ultimately, the love for God... other than that would definitely our family and the people we cared the most.

I would like wish you all, a wonderful journey to the new year. May you enter the new year with lots of love and the energy to face all obstacles in life to achieve all your goals and dreams. Most of all, the energy to ensure all the people you care, a wonderful life to live in.. and to live with..

Eid Al-Mubarak, Salam Mubarak and a Happy and prosperous New Year.. With all my heart to all of you..

May this year be a much better year for all of us.

p.s. My Aidiladha song.. would be this song by M Nasir... Raikan Cinta. It is a story based of Aidiladha.

Now it's time to wish and hope..

Hey, there's a malay saying 'Buat baik dibalas baik. Buat jahat dibalas jahat'.. AGREE. Still, in this modern era. The line that separates between good and evil is too thin, that most of us often confuse which is which.

There's no clear cut criteria that separates the two. In fact, there are such thing as Evil things that looks like a good thing, as well as Good things that being portrayed as an evil deed. Sounds familiar? It is all around you now.

Whatever it is, think carefully before you jump to conclusions..

Here's a wish to all those who celebrate Christmas. Merry Christmas!!

Why don't YOU ReAct NOW??

These are some photos of the aftermath from the flood in Segamat taken from Malaysia Uncut Blog. (If your IQ is above satisfactory level, you know how to get to the blog..Just click the link)

From what I heard, help did not arrive as fast as expected. I'm sure all of us have the same share to blame. Even worse, we got too many irresponsible bastards (excuse me..) there who take the chances to rob those houses which have been evacuated. That's not all, some opportunists even came with a boat with the intention to make money from saving people. In other words, you need to have cash in hand to be saved by them.

How sick can the Malaysians be? I'm sorry. At this point I have to agree with Reader's Digest that Malaysians ARE RUDE.

Now, whether you agree with me or not, how about contribute something to our own people for once? We've been trying too hard to impressed the world in helping others, why not our own?

For a list of how you can contribute, go to Jelas.Info and read on the many ways you can lend a hand. Bloggers, you can also commit yourself and unite for this cause at Loudtalk.Net

So, if you're truly human with a good IQ level, I'm sure you'll make a point to at least, put an effort to see what you can do to help.

TV CONGLOMERATES.. (any one of you..) Please.. please do something worthwhile, if you can air reality TV of those who can't sing, or rock the world.. can you at least put up a benefit fundraiser show for these victims? If you still can't understand what I mean here.. at least click those videos I've compiled. A collection of performances by artiste who support a benefit show for the Katrina victims. MTV and VH1 put up that show in support to all organisation that work on raising the funds for the victims.. (see, you don't need to open your own benefit account.)

Thank you for your time. Those who have been putting effort for the flood victims in any way.. I salute you for being great human being..

p.s By the way, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my aunt, Hjh Masri Omar.

In my life I love you more..

Once a while, it's good to cherish those past experiences and memories that we've gone through. After all, it is through those experiences, the people and situations that make us what we are today..

There's a song by The Beatles that describes those feeling well. This Lennon-McCartney composition is truly a classic.

Here's the lyrics to it. If you never heard the song, then I would suggest you click on the video. A performance by Dave Matthews in one of the tribute concert for John Lennon.

IN MY LIFE - The Beatles

There are places I'll remember
All my life though some have changed
Some forever not for better
Some have gone and some remain
All these places have their moments
With lovers and friends I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life I've loved them all

But of all these friends and lovers
There is no one compares with you
And these memories lose their meaning
When I think of love as something new
Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more

Though I know I'll never lose affection
For people and things that went before
I know I'll often stop and think about them
In my life I love you more
In my life I love you more

p.s I'll be going back to JB for the long weekend. Suits this feeling very well.. hehehe..(alasan untuk tulisan hujung minggu yang malas..

Half Full Glasses (I hope we see it that way..)

Congratulations!! You were picked by Time Magazine as The People of the Year for 2006.

In 2004, only bloggers are chosen as the People of the Year for their prompt and serious interactivity in relaying information and news to the world, especially during the Tsunami. This time all of you, the heavy users of the information superhighway are chosen. You are the true community of the information age.

"In 2006, the World Wide Web became a tool for bringing together the small contributions of millions of people and making them matter" as said by the writer, Lev Grossman.

It is you, fellow bloggers who keep the information fresh and rich on the cyberspace.

It is you, members of Myspace and Friendsters that makes everybody interacting with one another.

It is you, people of YouTube that makes the cyberspace exciting everyday.

You share content of various forms to the world. You showed a good example to the meaning of 'Interactive' and 'Multimedia'.

And most important of all, it is all of you who keep showing support and interest in this hi-tech medium of user-generated content.

Congratulations for proving to the world that the net is in fact a serious area to be in business. Hopefully, as we coming to the new year, more people would realise that the internet is not just a small insignificant playground. It is the new real-estate.

And hopefully, despite the MSC programmes and the urge for a more content-driven community by the government, the Malaysian Corporates would actually take action into these ventures and not playing the 'wait and see' game.

You can't see the true potential of this area until you are actively in one. To jump in only when you're sure it will make you rich is not how you should do it.

Congratulations again.. All fellow netizens.

When you're not feeling ugly
The world's not too much
Take the world upon your shoulders
Take the world upon your shoulders
And burn, burn, burn, burn, burn
Take the world upon your shoulders

Enjoy the video.

p.s Death toll from the flood in now increase to 6 people. Come on.. No charity concerts for the victims? International stars? Anybody?? ..

Flooded with many reasons..

Just 2 weeks ago, I was there for my Uncle's funeral. Yesterday, the whole town was flooded badly.

The village where our large family live is situation right at the riverside of Sungai Segamat. From the photo above, courtesy of The Star, you can see the route to Jalan Hassan. That's where most of my relatives live.

No injuries from our relatives. As far as I know, my cousin's fish pond, was drowned by the flood, which ended up with all fishes gone.

I'm still updating on the news from relatives at this moment. For more news, you can check on The Star, NST & Bernama. Other than that, you can also check on my cousin's blog, MJland and, Segamat do have it's own portal..)

Death toll at the point I wrote this has increase from 2 to 5 people.I hope all other flood victim are safe and everything will be back to normal for them.

p.s I wonder if Forces of Nature organiser would organise any fundraising concert for these victims. They did for other victims.. why not Malaysians? Right?

Throw your love around..

So things are not going your way. Everything does not turns out the way you planned. So what? Does it mean that this is the end of the world? I don't think so.

Yes, I'm sure those people who made life difficult for you do want the world to end for you. That does not mean you need to agree with them. Life must go on.

Your past experiences might conditions you to be more careful than before. Sometimes too careful that you end up not taking risks at all. You're afraid that you will get hurt. You're afraid that to think there is a possibility that you might get hurt.

As these thoughts starts to take over you. Your life starts to stay stagnant. Your dreams fades away, your energy drained out and later, you're paranoid to everything the world have to offer.

Might as well, you just die over a tragic accident and let the others live. Then again, why be a loser?

What's all these craps for??.. It's the end of 2006. I know some might be lucky to fulfill all their resolutions, some did not even manage to get even one done. Not that they did not try, just that sometimes, luck is not on their side.

So, before you make a new resolution. Remember this.. It's OK to fail. As long as you learn from it and move on to try again. It's OK to be hurt in the past, because everybody hurts in a way or another. Don't worry much about the past.. but think about whatm you want to do in the future..

And if you think you're alone in this, then let me tell you this.. you're not. At the very least, I'll be around as a friend. The last thing I wanna know is another good person fails in life coz bad people win in the race.

You can have me as a friend. As much as I need you to keep me on track of my own dreams. Don't hesitate to talk to me.

So plan carefully. 2007 is coming and you definitely need to take charge of your life and dreams..

ONE MORE THING.. While you're at it.Be happy for yourself. That's should be the start of everything.. :)

Everyone around, love them, love them
Put it in your hands
Take it, take it
There's no time to cry
Happy, happy
Put it in your heart
Where tomorrow shines
Gold and silver shine

p.s This entry is more of a personal reminder to myself.

Can somebody give this man his PhD??

If I have to talk about my 2 greatest teacher in my early childhood. I would say, it would be my dad and Jim Henson.

No, Jim Henson is not my uncle. As a kid, I love to watch Sesame Street and The Muppets. I think those programmes are really cool. It's informative, it's educational and it rocks!..

I'm sure many of you would agree that we all learn a lot from Jim Henson's Muppets..(That is, if you had that chance to watch it back then..). Seriously, I am thankful there are programmes with good puppet acts by his team. It really got me hooked and I learn new things everytime.

Jim Henson is a genius. Is he a PhD holder in any way? If not, then I would beg anybody in the academic line to give him a doctorate in child education. I'm sure by now, he had already educate too many children in the world with his Muppets.

Kinda think of it. Why is it hard to find any good children programmes in Malaysia? OK, my definition of good (this is a reminder to those educated urban copycats..) is.. Original, effective and inspiring content. I don't think I can find much these days. It's not that hard to come up with those concepts for kids actually. Just try to think along with them and stop being that typical stuckup and egoistic adult you've always been.. Is that hard to do?

Anyway, here's a snippets of a great duet by Kylie Minogue and Kermit the Frog. To Mr. Jim Henson, I SALUTE YOU. It is an honor to be educated by a team like yours.

* Note : This video, just seems too cute to be left out..

p.s I do have one question to Jim Henson though.. Why is the only female character in the muppets seems to be a pig? No other option?

The second hand unwinds..

Unless you're truly a loner who seems to hate everybody and everything in this world, I'm sure most of you got forwarded emails from your friends. (that is... provided, you have an email address in the first place..)

Yes, I know a lot of those forwarded mails have nothing to your concern (esp when you got nothing much in your mind..) but do you at least try to make time to read each and every one of it?

I do get a lot of forwarded emails. Some are jokes, some are great photos, some are great writings and some are just plain corny. Whatever it is, I try my best to read each and every one of it. The ones that I don't read are mostly email forwarded irresponsibly. Those emails that when you open it, you need to scroll down about half a mile before you actually got to read the short entry.

But there's this one email. With a great poem (or that's what the original sender claim it to be..) which I like to share here. The email was started as a chain email which claims that anyone who got the email should forward it to 10 others or Bad Luck will happen to you. They email also includes what claimed to be 3 true examples of what had happened to other people who did not do it.. Sounds threatening isn't it?

Anyway, I don't care about those warnings. What I like to share here is this poem.

Around the corner I have a friend,
In this great city that has no end,
Yet the days go by and weeks rush on,
And before I know it, a year is gone.

And I never see my old friends face,
For life is a swift and terrible race,
He knows I like him just as well,
As in the days when I rang his bell.

And he rang mine but we were younger then,
And now we are busy, tired men.

Tired of playing a foolish game,
Tired of trying to make a name.

"Tomorrow" I say!
"I will call on Jim Just to show that I'm thinking of him."
But tomorrow comes and tomorrow goes,
And distance between us grows and grows.

Around the corner, yet miles away,
"Here's a telegram sir," "Jim died today."
And that's what we get and deserve in the end.
Around the corner, a vanished friend.

Remember to always say what you mean.
If you love someone, tell them.
Don't be afraid to express yourself.
Reach out and tell someone what they mean to you.
Because when you decide that it is the right time it might be too late.
Seize the day. Never have regrets.
And most importantly, stay close to your friends and family,
for they have helped make you the person that you are today.

On this wonderful weekend, let's just say I dedicate this anonymous poem to all of you. It doesn't matter if you know me in person or not. Just read the poem and give it a thought.

And as usual, don't forget to watch the video... (Tini, she perform on your Birthday..)

p.s The email says that if I don't forward to 10 people within 3 hours after reading. Bad Luck will happen to me. From the example, bad luck seems to be death over tragic accident. So, if any of that is true.. It has been a pleasure knowing all of you.. :)

A favorite just fits how you feel...

Every now and then, you'll heard people talking about the TV ads that they saw. Most of the time, they'll talk about how good the TV ads to them. They will tell you how great the visuals are, how cool the storyboard or the favourite sentiment is how beautiful or handsome (or cute) the models on the ads.

That's what I'm going to do today. (cikgu dah start nak lecture konon..) This is an ad by GAP that I've seen somewhere last year. No, it's not on Malaysian TV and not on any cable channel shown in Malaysia. Of course there's no such ad aired on Malaysian TV coz we don't have GAP outlet anywhere in Malaysia last year.. (jap.. sebelum korang melatah..yaa.. aku tahu sekarang dah ada..) Before this, the only place you can get any GAP items in Malaysia is through Reject Shop.

OK, what I like about this ad is not about the high tech visual. No, it does not have beautiful sceneries which the client would expensively pay the agent for nothing. No, they don't have sexy models who speak in a language they are not fluent with and trying hard to look cute. This is got none of that.

What this ad got is a great direction and a great copywriting. Something you don't see on Malaysian TV that much. (Yes, we do have award winning ads from Malaysia.. I KNOW!!)

How they do it.. they take about 7 artistes (see if you know all of them) together, talk about the word 'Favorite' and what does it means to them. These artiste will then tell us about their favourite song and how they identify these songs as their favorite. When all that is done.. somehow, they'll relate this feeling as similar as to choosing a favorite jeans.

Now that's a good copywriting.

I know, we have good copywriters here in Malaysia. I don't think I should start pointing which Malaysian TVC is my favorite (occupational hazard : these people tends to look for attention too..sorry..) But, I strongly believe a good copywriter (or maybe, a hardworking copywriter) is hard to find here.. Yes, we have many interesting copy here.. but a copy with substance is hard to find. Especially when many copywriters are more 'MTV-centric' than the MTV themselves.. hahaha..

Go ahead, watch this long-version of GAP Jeans. Tell me what you think. Better still... answer the question.. "What's your favorite?"

Favorite Song is like Favorite Jeans

p.s I can surely point a really bad copy.. PLEASE TELL whoever that made those 'Kempen Budi Bahasa' ads to just let somebody else to do it. It is simply horrible and missing the whole point...

Tiada akan ku abaikan kasih...

It's hard to give a sincere opinion on anything here. Especially when your remarks contradict with what the person or the public hoping for. If you give a positive remark over something that is obviously not, the public might think you're paid to say so. If you give negative remarks, no matter if it's true or not, the person who owns anything that you criticise will hate you for life.

Positive criticism? Encouraging criticism? or whatever politically correct term on making remarks.. NOT HELPING..

When making comments, remarks or any such action, it is even harder when the selected person is your own friend or family. Much harder, when that particular friend or family holds a certain status or at the very least popular. (for what ever reason..)

So this is my public apology (I should do it before anybody ask me to..) If I make any comments, remarks or whatsoever opinion that may hurt your feeling.. maybe make you hate me, kecik hati, nak merajuk.. cakap belakang kat kawan-kawan lain or even menangis atas katil sambil tangan atas dahi dan mengadap siling.. I AM VERY SORRY. It is unintentional to be that way.

Most of my remarks are non-personal (except that one entry on Pendek Jangan Jadi Leader..). Most of it are remarks on the situation and the action.. NOT the person.

So with that.. I am sorry. Certain remarks are needed to make this world a better place to be.

On another note, SIAPA NAK TENGOK WAYANG? I heard lots of good remarks about this movie. And it's good to see film producers and directors finally realise how music plays a very important role for their story. Thank God.. it's about time.

Beri padaku sedikit waktu
Untuk aku mengenali isi hatimu..

p.s Jom.. Jom.. Apasal semua orang yang aku ajak semua dah tengok cerita ni?.. Aku pergi sorang karang..

That Someday It Would Bring Me Back To You..

There's just too many music awards in Malaysia isn't it? If an artiste make it big that particular year, they end up attending at least 4-5 award show.

Sunday Morning - Maroon 5

These award shows are redundant? No, not exactly. Each award shows have different purpose and criteria on selecting the recipients.

There's Anugerah Industri Muzik (AIM), the industry's prestigious award where recepients are selected by professional pool of juries among the peers within the music industry.

There's Anugerah Bintang Popular (ABP) organised by Berita Harian. Need no explanation, the name says it all. It's a popularity award as voted by the fans of local entertainment industry.

And then there's Anugerah Era (AE). Another popularity award show organised by Era FM where fans vote for their favourite artiste. (NO, it's not redundant. There's over 20 millions of Malaysians and surely, radio listeners are not the same people as newspaper readers..)

Then there's this annual Anugerah Juara Lagu (AJL). Dubbed as the oldest award show which winners are selected based on the song they are competing. This is not just achievements awards.. This is in fact a song competition.

So last week, the last four songs that make it to the final were selected from the Pop Rock Category. It is a tough decision and I'm sure the juries have thoroughly checked and analyse the contestants before picking the finalists..

Yes, I'm in between satisfied and dissatisfied over the overall selection of the finalists.. But I'm not in a position to complain...

So, GOOD LUCK to the finalists.. Those who didn't make it, better luck next time. (There are a few more awards show I've not mention anyway...)

May the most ORIGINAL, CREATIVE and ENTERTAINING song wins.

Hey, it's year end and yesterday was a nice Sunday Morning for me. So please.. Enjoy this video.. I really want to share this song with all of you.

But things just get so crazy living life gets hard to do
Sunday morning rain is falling and I’m calling out to you
Singing someday it’ll bring me back to you
Find a way to bring myself home to you

p.s Lal La la .. Lal La La... See, I'm singing!!

Biarkan Semuanya Indah..

(I should have put this entry weeks ago to congratulate him. Somehow, the entry stop halfway and never got the chance to finish it till today. As if waiting for the right day to get it done.)

A few weeks ago, paralysed and on a wheelchair, he received the 'Bintang Semangat Rimba Kelas Kedua' from the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi at the National Scouts Association ceremony.

He was then interviewed by the press for his achievements. Utusan Malaysia wrote an article about him. Even The Star wrote an article about him(Click on the links for the news). He is the veteran scout on that ceremony.

He deserves it. He has been dedicated with his Scout Honor all his life. In fact, it is through him that I and my other brothers got the interest to be a boy Scout in Primary School. It is from his story that give me the spirit to work myself until I got myself to be a Patrol Leader and later a Troop Leader of my Primary School. Through him, I understand more about Rudyard Kipling's Jungle Book and learn a few rope-knots. I got first hand demonstration on building a tent from him which later develop my interest to camping and outdoor recreation.

Yesterday, barely 3 weeks after the ceremony. At the age of 78, my uncle... Abu Bakar Mohamed passed away at his hometown in Segamat.

May Allah blessed his soul and his deeds with the greatest blessings such great person should get.

He will be in our prayers... Amiinn..

"Selama menyertai pasukan pengakap iaitu sejak tahun 1946 di Sekolah Tinggi Segamat, Johor, saya tidak pernah menyesal, sebaliknya berbangga menjadi ahli pasukan ini."

There's no way we could disguise it ..

If there's any local TV programme that I would recommend for all of you to watch this coming New Year, then it would be this show.. 'A NIGHT OF SOULFUL STARS', which will be aired on 'The Feel Good Channel' - ntv7.

Like the title suggest, this is a show where stars performing repertoires that falls under the genre of Soul and Blues. It's not an easy genre to sing either. This is where the singers apprearing for this show are tested on their vocal ability. With performances by Ning Baizura, Taufik Batishah of Singapore Idol, Vince of AF1 and Mia Palencia from Philipines, you can almost be sure that nothing could go wrong with this show.

What can I say? The set looks great. The sound system was perfect. The musicians are superb and the stars gave their best performances. If you're there, you will know that they have put up a magnificent show.

Congratulations to production team, the musicians and the star. I would say, THIS IS A MUST WATCH!!

I don't have the snippet of the show. (Even if I do, I don't think ntv7 would give me the rights to put up a snippet here..kan?? kan??) So, here's a video of one of the song performed on that night. Just to give you the idea of what the show would be..(err... minus the dancing..)

It's not easy to produce a great TV musical performance. Most TV station fails to deliver a great musical experience to the audience. Fortunately, this show manage to make it happen.

p.s Vernon, if you're reading this.. Don't worry.. Ning pulled out a great show.

One headline, why believe it?

I once heard that the golden principle in Law is 'Innocent until proven guilty'. Sure.. I think such principle are only applicable to Law practice I guess. I don't think that's how the society would want to look at it here.

How the public sees it is, everybody's 'Guilty until proven innocent'. Just take a look at those high-profile cases we read in the newspapers and you'll see how public opinions already serve their punishments.

You're accused for any big-scale failure ... GUILTY!!
You're remanded 2 days to assist on investigations... GUILTY!!
Somebody linked to a case based on random queries.... GUILTY!!

Those victims, even when they are not guilty by law, end up having to move to another town because of that.

Are Malaysians are too paranoid of their own people, that we tend to think bad of others first before we even consider to think of the good things the have in them?

OK, maybe those examples are too huge to relate to our everyday life. How about these...

If a person treating you bad.. He / She is already BAD.
If a person treating you nice .. He / She is up to something. Hence He / She is BAD too..

If a person talk in a harsh manner, that's rude.. BAD.
If a person talk nicely, the person is a sweet talker .. still BAD

I guess basically, there's no good people here..

So, what happen when there are good people around? I guess, majority would think they are up to something bad as well..

Here I am, not worthy to anybody. Until all that I am are proven valuable to the life of others.

And so I'll be accepting the fact that I'm guilty... until proven innocent. The least I can do now is not to be more guilty than I already am.

What a wonderful life it is in this part of the world.

Welcome to your life
Theres no turning back
Even while we sleep
We will find you..

p.s It's not that bad actually. Just show people that you have the wealth and the style... You'll be off from judgment. Those are the scale of being innocent through public opinion. Right? hehehehe...

They can bend it all they want ..

Once a while, I love watching exclusive interviews on TV. Some of it are really interesting, while some of it are just plain boring. The thing about these interviews, the interviewers already have an idea on which direction you want all the answers to lead. If it's a talkshow, the host would simply ask questions that would relate to the general concern of the host themselves and see of their guest would come up with certain perspectives that would support the host's believes.

On other interviews, questions might want to see what makes the person tick or react in such a way. As some would see how far a person is passionate about what he or she do, others might just blatantly trying to humiliate the person with their 'trap' questions.

I came across a programme on John Mayer. They were interviewing him on his new album 'Continuum'. Asking him about the idea behind making the album, the story behind deciding on the album's direction and what makes him inspired to produce it in such a way. I'm amazed on how this guy explains everything on the process of making the album. From what inspires the album, the experimentation process and everything that makes him tick in crafting the album. John Mayer explains it clearly and passionately which, at the end of the session you would agree the high level of artistic value in him.

It's been a while since I heard any good interviews of a singer. Leave alone those interviews on the local artiste. It's already too bad most local artiste (READ : I said MOST.. not ALL. Jangan ngada-ngada nak kecik hati) can't gave inspiring and convincing answers to their interviews, which sometimes makes them sound stupid (it's how you answer it and not what language you use..hehe), but I'm sure the interviewers are to be blame too.

If questions are asked in a manner that would excite the artiste to answer it passionately. If intelligent questions are asked (and I don't say it should sound academically factual) to the artiste, I'm sure they would think properly before answering.

A good interviewer are those people who reads a lot, observant and have empathy to others, which I hope with have more of those people in the Malaysian media.

Until that happen, maybe I should just sit with John Mayer and wait for the world to change.. (err.. world?)

It's not that we don't care
We just know that the fight ain't fair
So we keep on waiting
Waiting on the world to change

Everybody needs somebody. You're not the only one..

It's the monsoon season. (oh, you already know that..) How does the rainy weather been treating you? It does got you gloomy for no reason sometimes, doesn't it? I got that sometime. Especially when it's raining at night, and I just end my day and trying to rest. Maybe the wet and cold atmosphere have a certain effect on people's emotion. Do you think so?

OK, that's beside the point.

Anybody remember the song November Rain by Guns N Roses? A beautiful rock ballad. Sometimes makes you wonder, how a delusional, ego-centric frontman of the craziest rock and roll band in the 90's can come up with such beautiful song... and it's about 8 minutes long. In Malaysia, song with such duration will not make it on the radio. Let alone be a hit single.

I can still remember the video. More or less, it tells us a sad story of love separated by death right after they got married. With their superstitious sign of bad luck when it rains on your wedding day. (I repeat again, it's suupeerr sttiitiouuss.. you can go ahead and get married this month)

OK, there're part of the world who believe the rain brings bad luck to certain occasion. But, there're also people who believe the rain, brings blessings from God.

So, why are we easily attracted to the idea of bad luck rather than blessings?

For me, I can't deny it sometimes pulled me to a low, gloomy mood. Yet, there's no reason for me to think of this rainy season as bringing bad luck. In fact, I realise I'm blessed with the good things happening around me. I'm blessed to see the people I care happy with what they do. I'm blessed to see all the things planned over the past months, now beginning to form into shape. I'm blessed to at least regain hopes that almost died.

So, here comes another November Rain, just like past years. It's a wet and gloomy season but not a bad one. At the very least, if gave us a chance to move on with our life in a much fresher environment.

The season will end but hopefully, the blessings that comes with continue to stay. Amiinn..

I know it's hard to keep an open heart
When even friends seem out to harm you
But if you could heal a broken heart
Wouldn't time be out to charm you

Thou who agree shalt not be given promotion..

ATTENTION HR Personnels in all industries.. PLEASE, Take your time and read this article..

I got this one from a forwarded email. No, I do not know which newspaper it comes from nor do I know if the news is true as reported. But it makes sense isn't it?

I'm sure many of us faced such situation before. We hate it, but we have no choice but to face it. How to deal with it is still a big mystery. None of HR courses have a topic on that. Even psychologist would most of the time tell us to be patient (even they are stressed with all those morons coming to them for those idiotic issues). Best of all, the Great Book for Idiots have no title on that.

I guess it's up to the people hiring to actually check on staffs IQ and EQ result. Qualification and experiences could fall no.2 (no use hiring a Star worker if deep inside, their idiotic nature would make others suffer..)

Those of you working out there, please take care of yourself. I don't want any of you to get hurt emotionally or mentally at work. It's not covered by the insurance company.

If you can understand the feeling being in this situation, then you don;t have to worry. You're doing fine. Unfortunately, chances for you to get promotion is pretty slim. Most of those Idiots will eventually by your superior..

p.s What a way to start a Monday.. hehehe

Do I stay or run away and leave it all behind?

1. If you are offered a job that you have always dream of. But for you to take that offer, you need to quit your current job and leave the stable income and benefits behind. Would you take it?

2. If you being offered to start a business that you've always wanted to do. But not just you need to quit your job, you need to move to another country to do it. Would you take the offer?

3. After a bad breakup, if you happen to like this someone and that person somehow wants to go serious. Would you take the chance?

4. If your parent's sick and need close attention from you. At the same time, you just got promoted but needed to be transfered away from your parent. Would you reject the offer and even be ready to quit the job if the management would not accept your reply?

You might have been in any of those situation before. You might even face any of the situation someday. Even if not any of the stated above, any situation that need you to choose only one of which, the one that you did not choose can be considered as your personal life gamble or sacrifice.

How do you come to a decision? Do you believe in yourself enough to make a the best decision? Are you strong enough not to regret anything that you have to let go?

And what if in some way or another, you made a bad choice? Would you regret about it and blame it on everything else around you? Or you'll take it as an experience which you'll plan to get over it as soon as possible?

I believe that what happens around you, happens for a reason. How you react to every situation is totally depending on how you perceive the situation. In the end it's up to you on how you want your life should be. The surroundings will adjust according to your perception.

It’s times like these you learn to live again
It’s times like these you give and give again
It’s times like these you learn to love again
It’s times like these time and time again

So how do you want yours to be?

Nothing last in these graceless, age..

Get video codes at Bolt.

You like sitcoms. Don't you? I'm sure everybody would at least hooked to one particular sitcom in the past. (those who had never follow any sitcom in their life... "HOW BORING CAN YOU BE??"..justy kidding.)

In any sitcoms, the general idea is to dig into everyday life issues and being witty about it. Sounds like an easy process to do, but it's not. Do it carelessly, and it might end up having a bunch of court jester with silly stink jokes.

So, I need to know, WHAT GOT YOU HOOKED TO ANY SITCOMS? I mean, other than the funny remarks (which obviously it should be or else, we should just call it a school play..) what other things that follow the sitcom till the last episode?

I do need feedbacks on this.

On the other hand, I did mentioned in my previous entry about Bon Jovi and how most of the band's first singles in all their album are about life, hope and dreams of the everyday people.

Songs like 'Livin on a prayer', 'Keep The Faith' and 'It's My Life' are some of the examples of their first singles. Over a casual conversation with a few friends, there's this one single which we think, the best among all Bon Jovi's singles. Yet somehow, it does not get the same popularity level like the rest of the singles (even we did not remember the song till one of us sing it over an acoustic guitar)

So, enjoy the feature video of this entry. Our pick for the best Bon Jovi's single on the theme of life, hopes and dreams. It was picked based on it's catchy melody, the nicely blend music arrangement and it's beautifully written lyrics.

You might wonder how on earth we end up talking about that, but when a few people get together in a house with nothing much snacks, PS2 and acoustic guitar around, such topic is never impossible to pop up.

Come to think of it, there is one common factor between a good sitcom and Bon Jovi's single... Both have the passion to dig out the issues faced or the majority of the ordinary people..

His momma said he was crazy - he said momma Ive got to try
Dont you know that all my heroes died
And I guess Id rather die than fade away

I'll be there for you and you'll be there for me..

Yesterday, I thought that if it rains heavily again today, I'll just post 'November Rain' video by Guns N Roses and leave that video alone to be my entry for today.

Today, it's not raining. See how God work His wonders.

I have always dream of producing TV shows that sets on a small and medium scale production, which give a sense of interpersonal experience among those involved. A show that would give a warm, yet exciting feeling to the audience and still looks great on the TV screen.

That's my dream. No, that's not just a dream. Infact, I was seriously working towards that direction for the whole of last year.. which until earlier this year, right after the previous Aidilfitri, we were given cold shoulders for no reason. All preparation that just waiting for deployment was stopped immediately.. and almost all of us, in a way lost our job along with those dreams.

This time, almost the same situation and period of time, right after raya, some 100++ staff of the main braodcaster (the same 'heartless' project) will lose their job by end of November. And we see the beauty of Malaysian HR exercise at it's best where, employer-employee relationship are in a way, identical as the master-slave relations back in the old era.

Could it be, some tradition need to be preserve as our heritage, and this would be one of it? I don't know..

Anyway, I'll hold to my dreams and work my way till I achieve to make those dreams a reality.

As for now, here are some videos that might be able to help you see what I have in mind. It's not exactly like all those shows, but the general idea is there.

p.s I'm sorry for all MiTV staff that have to carry the burden of failure made by the top management and I thank you YouTube for having a function to embed multiple videos in one player.

Taking a real good break..

This is what happened when you got sick and tired working with word processing documents and spreadsheets. I don't know how you lawyers and accountants out there enjoy having to deal with these dull (yes, i know it's important..) documentation every single day.

I got sick and tired of it. So, I end up playing with photoshop instead. Not that I am an expert on it. I have not touch this software for quite sometime. Oh well, just consider this as my personal refreshal crash course.. (which I did crashed my thumbdrive along the way..)

p.s I'm still in JB. 3 days after my original date going back to KL. I've set to go back tomorrow. (Let see if I stick to this one. Somehow, I'm not eager to face that third world vibes of KL.)

Staring at the blank page before you..

Slightly more than often, people tend to disappoint you. No matter which angle you direct yourself. Your friends, your colleagues, your fellow teammates and sometimes, even your loved ones can get you upset over things.

Most of times, these dissapointments happens unintentionally. You have to always remind yourself that just like you, they are human with the tendency to make mistakes. Still, there are those few who did it on purpose. Maybe out of jealousy, maybe the feel threaten by whatever quality that you have in you. Or Maybe, it's just a habit in them to see other people suffer.

After going through life facing all that disappointments from one to another, how do we know which one we could forgive and which one we should get even?

Best question on this is "How can we avoid facing it ever again?"

I don't think there is any specific answer to that. As for now, maybe it is best that we stay focus on what we want to do. Ensuring that our body, mind and soul are well prepared to face anything along the journey.

After all, it is our own decision that makes us what we are and who we are..and I'm going to do just that with all pending plans. Hopefully I'm strong enough to take the journey till the end.

And I hope, you'll do the same about yours.

Still, this does not mean you're all alone. How about supporting each others dreams and ambition? I'm sure it's not as hard as disappointing one another. Right?

Drench yourself in words unspoken
Live your life with arms wide open
Today is where your book begins
The rest is still unwritten

Salam Aidilfitri

So, this is the end of the first day of Aidilfitri. I've always believe this is the day where you spend most of your time with the family. You seek forgiveness from your families, you eat together, you forget about all other problems and forget about being judgemental in whatever way you are.. Everybody is equal.

As the first day of Aidilfitri ends.. I think this year's Aidilfitri ends here for me. Not in the mood to continue much further as I did in the previous years.

I seek apologies from everybody. One fine day, if permitted.. I'll be back to my better self. For now, I rather not cause any issues, if there's any... I feel I should just stay away from people..

MAAF ZAHIR BATIN.. I really do mean it.

Inilah hari kita... Tiada lagi rasa ketakutan..

Isn't it interesting to know how fast time flies? Seems like just last week we began fasting in this holy month of Ramadhan, and now we're just a few days away from celebrating Aidilfitri. Right?

Petronas Aidilfitri 2006

There's a discussion on the radio this morning that somehow facinates me. Taking a real-life story of a lady, her life journey and her present achievements, the question to be discuss is 'Would you dare to drop everything you have and start all over?'

To me, that is an interesting question for each and every one of us to continously ask ourselves from time to time. Now, ponder on this..

- Would you let go everything that you've majored in your studies, the qualification and the childhood dream and move on to your current passion and dreams, which somehow you just realised it has always been in you all along?

- Would you drop all the things you have here, which is (in a way..) not really great, but secure enough to make it through life (with a little bit extra) and take a chance to go someplace else that seems much more promising?

- Would you drop entirely every hatred and anger that you have within you, and mend the relationship with the family and friends you once love will all your heart?

- Would you take another trip into serious relationship, dropping all fears and insecurities from your past experiences behind?

- Would you drop whatever tips and inputs you read in the magazines, and just follow your instincts instead?

These are some questions that most of the times we tend to ignore. Some might consider it as unnecessary and total nonsense.

In this world where everything should be proven scientifically and within logical reasons. And the results, Once proven, should then be able to translate to answers into monetary values.. Does people take such questions above seriously?

Do people believe that in life, there are times you should make logical decisions and there are times you make decisions because you intuition says so? And do they believe that such decision is not illogical or logical.. instead it's just beyond-logical?

I hope that I'm brave enough to take chances. I hope I'm strong enough to forgive and forget. I hope I'm confident enough to make the right decision..

This is my hope and prayers for this Aidilfitri.

To all of you out there.. I hope you give it a thought. I hope you would give yourself a chance to embrace life more than what you already have at present.

Maybe that way.. the world would work even better for all of us.

Salam Dunia - M Nasir

SALAM AIDILFITRI..Min al-eid wa al-faidzin.

Angels will run and hide their wings..

Road trip movies always manage to capture my attention. No, not that crazy Road Trip movie (although that movie also manage to get my attention). What I mean is any road trip movie. Cameron Crowe's movie like 'Almost Famous' and 'Elizabethtown' for example. The wacky 'Road Trip' and 'Euro Trip'. Now, it's this 2002 movie by Bob Gale (famous for his script on 'Back to the Future') called Interstate 60.

It's a semi-fantasy story about a guy who wished to find answers to his life on his 22nd birthday, which then granted in a form of a road trip on an interstate highway that never existed to anybody else but him. (and for the rest of the story, you might as well look for the dvd)

I'm not going to review this movie. Seriously, I've always believe that the malay saying 'Jauh perjalanan, Luas pengalaman' is true in a way. (provided that you know your way back..)

On a road trip, you experience different situation and cultures. You see different scenaries. You view from different perspectives and the most important of all, you will have a broader mindset which then makes you understand the world much better.

Whether the road trip will in the end turns you into a much better person or not, is actually up to you. But, I seriously recommend to all of you to take the adventure and go for a road trip.

Maybe it's time to go for another round of road trip. (by the way, enjoy the video. I feel like a dracula for the past few weeks..)

Ah, experience has conditioned you into thinking that all hearts are red and all spades are black because their shapes are similar. It's easier for your mind to interpret them based on that past experience instead of being open to the idea they could be different.

Thought I would die a lonely man..

I just realised that the past months have been a terrible, lazy months for me. Well, lazy is not really the word here. Demotivated and a little bit uninspired is more appropiate. Seriously, we are already in our mid Ramadhan, as well as the month of October. Yet, this is my first entry for October. Now how sad is that?

What keep the world moving? What keep the spirit alive? I'm sure the only answer to that is 'What inspires them to move'... and as cliche as it sounds, inspiration is still the number 1 factor that saves people from going insane.

My notebook is back, up and running after a few months of problems from one thing to another. With this one companion of mine, at the very least, I can start writing again. Still, that's just a general idea of how I will get back up and move on.

Oh well, a man got to do what a man got to do. You fall, you gather the energy, pick up the pieces and then get up and keep moving again.

The question be.. What is my inspiration? I myself not to sure about it. Lets just say I put a mirage in front of me, make believe that that's my inspiration and move on. Maybe that would do the trick.

Will the mirage in the end turns into the real thing? That's not for me to answer. We'll see...

Will you be my shoulder when I'm grey and older?
Promise me tomorrow starts with you,

p.s Just watch this video. I don't think any Malaysian TV have ever play this version of the music video.

I've given all I can, it's not enough..

Let this be the first entry on this holy month of Ramadhan. I did not have a good start for this time around, yet I still hope it will be better along the way.

Now, this is the month where all evil will be tied and stored away. This is the month where we refrain ourselves from doing useless and unnecessary matters. This is also the month that IF we're good enough to be among the chosen ones, we will experienced the night of Lailatul Qadar and be granted of our wish.

So, in this month of Ramadhan, I wish to refresh my life, to renew all hopes and dreams, to be enlighten by all the greatness of life that Allah have to offer. In short, I just hope to be a better person, which I know I am already far from achieving it. Still there is nothing wrong with hoping for the better and struggling to achieve it.

And I hope the very best for all of you too.

Here's an old song that suits me perfectly that this moment of time. Watch the video and read the lyrics.. See if it makes any sense to you..

KARMA POLICE - Radiohead
Karma police,
Arrest this man, he talks in maths
He buzzes like a fridge,
He's like a detuned radio

Karma police,
Arrest this girl, her hitler hairdo,
Is making me feel ill
And we have crashed her party

This is what you get
This is what you get
This is what you get
When you mess with us

Karma police,
I've given all I can, it's not enough
I've given all I can, but we're still on the payroll

This is what you get
This is what you get
This is what you get
When you mess with us

And for a minute there
I lost myself, I lost myself
And for a minute there
I lost myself, I lost myself

For a minute there
I lost myself, I lost myself..

Here we are now.. Entertain us!!

I am very slow on updating my blog lately.. My life that's already a mess now is more confusing and numb that I don't think I would want to elaborate more here.

Seriously, I'm OK. Not a problem. I'll just wear that happy mask that many people like and jast go along with the flow. Not a big problem to do that.

As long as it makes others happy. I'll be happy.

One thing hurts even more when the ones who you believe close to you, or the people that matters most to you.. do not have faith in all the things that you are.. and all the things that you do.. or even concern to why and how certain things happens..

Then again.. there's always the happy mask.

Wear it. Maybe that's all that they want from you..

Bt the way, enjoy the video of Tori Amos, singing Nirvana's 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' in her own style.

See.. I'm smiling!!

p.s Waiting game is more suicidal than any other games..

What I am to you is not what you mean to me..

And so I lost my phone again.. YES!! I lost the damn mobile again. In a glance, you might say 'oh well, that happens..' For me, I take this seriously. No, not about the phone that I'm mad of. NO, not about that person who sneak and steal the phone from me either. But, to myself. I don't lose my phone easily. In fact, my previous phone before this stays with me for more than 3 years. So, with this phone that last with me for slightly less than a month, I AM PISSED...

Something is definitely not right with me now.

So, I mention this to this friend. A much senior and yes, famous friend who is very close to me. After all those explanation in a quite lunatic manner of myself.. he response was..

"hmm.. gua rasa camni je, bila lu dah jumpa perempuan yang serasi dengan lu, jangan pikir duit lu cukup ke tidak.. lu kawin dengan perempuan tu. gua rasa rezeki lu tak sangkut camni dah lepas tu.."

OK, that dumbfounded me pretty good. I don't really know if the response actually have anything to do with that particular situation or he just say that to shut me up. (which he never did such thing before).. Either way, it shut me up and got me thinking what does he meant by that.

One thing though.. "jangan pikir duit lu cukup ke tidak.. " Yeah right... as if that would convince anybody..

what i am to you is not real
what i am to you you do not need
what i am to you is not what you mean to me
you give me miles and miles of mountains
and i’ll ask for the sea

p.s My life will be pre-historic for the next few days wihout my mobile.. To the stealer, you just made my life 10 times more difficult than it already is..

And I'll leave this life behind me ..

I'm haunted by this song by Nickleback. It haunts me so much, I now believe the song is meant for me...

Show me what it's like
To be the last one standing
And teach me wrong from right
And I'll show you what I can be
Say it for me
Say it to me
And I'll leave this life behind me
Say it if it's worth saving me

Oh well.. Happy National Day everybody..

I lost my phone along the way, something realted to family came up and I had no choice but to withdraw my involvement with the project and concentrate to all these factors.

Back to Back : Again and again...

This seems like another lazy entry.. but seriously, I need to get this clear.

Welcoming back Jewel to the music scene. After the almost disastrous video for the single 'Intuition' (note : recording labels, please stop making female artiste like a whore catalogue) She's back with her new album 'Goodbye Alice in Wonderland'.. Catchy title for an album

Here's the video..(sexy, in the way she knows best..)

Again and again - Jewel

Just look me in the eye
This is do or die
And I will stay in love

From the other side of the world, with her eyes to the telescope.. there's this mixed parentage scottish who seems like a replica (but NOT) to Jewel.. this is KT Tunstall with her cute acoustic live performance of 'Other Side of The World'

Other Side of The World - KT Tunstall

I wish it were simple
But we give up easily
You're close enough to see that

They look almost alike. Like sisters, aren't they?..Or am I just another sucker to female singer-songwriter with the ability to play acoustic guitar on stage.

Seriously, they both look almost the same.. kan?? kan??

p.s cerita tiada kena mengena antara yang hidup atau yang mati. Cuma untuk yang hidup sahaja, atau yang mati sahaja. 'Antara'nya takde kena mengena.. (got it??...haha mampus confuse la korang..)

If it wasn't this... it'd be something else.

I took somebody's advice to just go and take some time off for myself. Of course, with the situation that I'm going through at this moment, travel somewhere and take a vacation is not an option. So, I did the next best thing. Lying down on the couch with some snacks around and a few DVDs that I borrowed. My journey to the movieland starts..

I decided that in order be sure that I do take my time off from this activity, (active??) I should avoid watching any epic, action, sci-fi or thriller and stick to those comedy, life drama and some teen-flick. So I started with Madagascar, then Singles, the Perfect Man, Raise Your Voice, Elizabethtown and end up with Cinderella Man.

Alright, my plan worked at first, but the moment I watched Elizabethtown and Cinderella Man, it's already more than 24 hours indoor and on the couch, with the two movies got my mind thinking too much again.. especially with Elizabethtown.

Somehow, that movie just smacked my head hard, with the hope that I wake up and realise that life must move on a bit better from now..OK, I don't intend to explain that here in details, coz it's too personal to just talk about it to just anybody..

But, I recommend you Elizabethtown. Another Cameron Crowe's Film with Orlando Bloom and Kristen Dunst as the main cast.

"In that moment, I knew SUCCESS, not greatness was the only god the world served."

p.s Johore will be a Metropolis!! woohoo.. At last, a PM that actually care for people of Johore.. Thank you.

Izinkan aku bicara tentangmu saja...

Upload music at Bolt

I was fortunate to know this band back in 2004. Last year was a great year for the band back at their hometown in Singapore. They won 3 awards at the 'Anugerah Planet Muzik' which includes 'Best New Artiste' category.

Since then, many things have changed. Two of the band members left the band and it's about time to look for a fresher opportunity in Malaysia.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you Bhumiband with their new single from their second album and their first Malaysian studio album...

NEXT MONTH, The band will be touring with Sheila On 7 in Malaysia. They'll be the opening act for the SO7 in 4 venues.

13 Aug - Johor Bahru
16 Aug - Kota Kinabalu
18 Aug - Penang
20 Aug - Kuala Lumpur

Tickets for the concerts are now available at the record stores of respected venues.

This is Perbedaan Hati. Composed by Fathul (the guy who wrote 'Cinta' for Flop Poppy) and the band's vocalist Awi Rafael, with lyrics by Awi Rafael himself.

Cinta bukan hanya kata
Bukan hanya satu makna

Let it be.. and take it to the fullest..

Here's a quick roundup (no no.. not that poison..) from what happened the past week..

1. Perception is one an important factor on how to evaluate yourself. How you see things determines who you are. If you can't see green, maybe you're color blind. If you can't see at all, maybe you're blind. If you can't the great people around you, then you are blinder than blind and should be shot dead.

2. Evaluating something is not easy. You need to judge it from what it is at present and how it meets the standards of the present situation. How good or how bad that something in the past can be a noted but should not be a benchmark to the present quality. The trickiest part is to let go of the past that haunts your mind before judging the present.

3. Everybody needs to be inspired in life. Inspiration can be in a form of anything. May it be a goal, a calculated achievements, material or maybe, somebody special that moves you. This inspiration should be something that's always fresh in you to keep moving in life and never give up, no matter how bad the situation.

So, I've eveluate my present, perceive the condition and look for the inspiration to move on..

I think I've already found the answer to all of it.. and it's time to take careful action and make it a success..

"when you close your eyes.. do you see black or you don't see anything at all?"

Berhenti Berharap - Siti Nurhaliza

It is a week mix the with celebrations and condolences on both extremes, isn't it?

Well, it's not too late to congratulate Siti and her fiance Dato' Khalid on annnoucing the most anticipated announcement by many. So much so, I bet the chief editors in all newspapers might be torn apart in choosing the most qualified news to make the front page.

In the end, the tough choice between tsunami in South Java and the wedding announcement goes in favor to the matrimonial announcement. Oh well, who said only bad news made the front page, right? (or it that another ... nevermind..)

Somehow, I'm kinda disturbed by the wedding announcement making the front page. No, I didn't say I disagree with Siti's choice, nor that I agree. (not to my concern on that matter anyway..) No, I'm not one of those guys who're jealous over Dato' K being the chosen one (get over it guys..her personal wealth would make average guys looks like a toilet cleaner of her third house) and NO, I'm not related to her either.. (somehow, there's too many people seems related to her that I heard of lately)

What's really bothering me is.. In a country that claims the Reader's Digest to have wrongfully accused us as being rude, a country that boast to the world on how caring and 'prihatin' we are.. we actually let the tsunami news falls second to a tabloid-like (no offence the the couple.. oh, and the FANS too) news of another celebrity wedding.

So, shall we change our tagline to Masyarakat Prihatin to Masyarakat 'Busy Body' now? I think it's more appropiate. Same difference..

Rebahkan tangguhmu
Lepaskan perlahan
Kau akan mengerti, semua…

p.s Oh, I did put a warning sign to this entry.. hehehe..
